Newly certified hotels by MQL in Vietnam

Good news from central Vietnam.

Two new projects are being certified by MQL Sustainable Tourism Services in central ancient capital of Hue. One of them is a resort we already achieve level one international certification and now we engage in level two higher standards.

Next one in central Hue city is already in operation and engaged in sustainability alignment in his luxury old style elegant set up, we are supporting all team on the data collection, submission and posterior independent audit in Vietnam.

We are glad to be part of the success with Vietnamese owners supporting the process and engagement linked to a posterior cost reduction in its operations, ending up with higher standards for final customers and stakeholders.

Always a plesure to step up in lovely Hue city enhancing our partner day to day tasks with the team, having another chained hotel plus an independent city hotel in our portfolio is always an honor in these great land.

Tourism figures in Southeast Asia towards end of 2024

Southeast Asian countries pushing tourism figures towards end of 2024, achieving and surpasing targets are key for most of them. ✅ Thailand received 29.08 million foreign tourists by October (by arrivals order of Chinese, Malaysians, Indians, South Koreans and Russians). Tourism tax is coming...

A tourist arrival tax of 9 usd will be applied in neighbouring Thailand from 2025 mostly for air travellers which account 70% of total. Such moves moves after other Southeast Asian locations like Bali started charging 10 usd last year, or South Korea also charging arrivals too, some European destinations started years ago.
