Tourism tax is coming...

A tourist arrival tax of 9 usd will be applied in neighbouring Thailand from 2025 mostly for air travellers which account 70% of total.

Such moves moves after other Southeast Asian locations like Bali started charging 10 usd last year, or South Korea also charging arrivals too, some European destinations started years ago.

Foresee soon this tourist fee applied in other destinations like Vietnam in the coming future and will see discussions on the topic soon…

The city generates about 9,500 tonnes of domestic waste each day, equivalent to about 3 million tonnes per year.
